PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
In the PLC series of polarization controllers, pressure
is applied to a single-mode fiber to change its birefringence, and thus, the
polarization of the output light. The user controls the amount of pressure via
a thumb screw, and the pressure axis via a rotatable center section of the
controller. They are available with built-in fiber or as drop-in devices that
can control the polarization in fiber already in the system, Different
connector configurations and sizes are also available.
PRODUCT SOLUTIONS
PLCs are useful wherever a manual
polarization controller is needed. Applications include fiber laser and
OCT system integration, as well as general lab use.
